Cobscook Bay Cottages

Location : Perry, Down East, Maine, USA (Near Eastport),  110 miles East of Bangor International Airport 

from Bangor, Maine

Proceed on Rt. 1A to Ellsworth.  Take Rt. 1 north to Machias and on to Whiting, Edmunds, and Pembroke.  The Cannon Hill Road (not very well marked) is 4.7 miles from the Pembroke Irving Gas Station.  Look for the Cobscook  Bay Cottages sign.  Turn right on the Cannon Hill Road and proceed about 1 mile to the Birch Point Road.  This is the second right on the Cannon Hill Road.  Proceed to the white farmhouse at the end of  the road.  You have reached Birch Point.  Travel time from Bangor is approximately 21/2 hours or 120 miles.  Good luck!

  from Calais or Canada  

 Proceed on Rt. 1 south from Calais to Perry.  Go past the turn to Eastport  (Rt. 190) and continue past the Polar Treat ice cream stand.  Approximately 1 mile on your left will be the Cannon Hill Road.  Turn left and proceed until you reach the second right, the Birch Point Road.  Proceed to the white farmhouse at the end of the road.  You have found Birch Point!  Travel time from Calais is about 30 minutes or 26 miles.
